As old sayings tell us, an army travels on its stomach. The stomach is also the way to a man's heart. Well, the same rules apply to festival-goers. In keeping with these anatomical proverbs, the food vendors are the backbone of any festival, and ours is no exception.
Saturday, August 15, will have food options galore. The Lions Club and the Royal Canadian Legion will each host barbecues. The Harmony Guild will host a tea at the Sundridge Community Centre on Main Street. Patti's Fries will have the chip wagon out, and the Red Brick Cafe will be serving gourmet coffee and other delights in the park. Zion United Church will honour a proud Canadian dessert by hosting their first-ever butter tart contest, and the Agricultural Society will have pocorn and hotdogs for sale at the fairgrounds.
As always, the restaurants of Sundridge have plenty to offer, whether your taste runs to fish and chips, burgers and fries, Chinese, Viennese, light and healthy or good old-fashioned meat and potatoes. Come to Sundridge, and bring your appetite. |
