Sundridge is hosting a Main Street Market starting at 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 15th.  We will be closing down two blocks of Main Street from Paget to Yonge Street and setting up a vendors market. Many of the local retailers will also display their products. All in all, we will have over 40 vendors displaying their products.  Some of the products displayed will be Amish baking and handmade furniture. Many crafts of every description will be on display, including wooden clocks, quilted and tie purses, knitting, leaded glass, twig furniture, wooden antique cars, alpaca products, quilts, dripless teapots and jewelry.  There will be lots of homemade food including pies, bread, tarts, candies, pickles, relishes, bean soup mixes, maple syrup and so much more.  Find out about scrapbooking by visiting Creative Memories, or see a real live goat when you visit Ranshe Farm, in which you can see their wide display of goat lotions and the kids can see a real live baby goat.  Oh yes, and we will have lots of fresh vegetables and fruits in season along with fresh corn on the cob.  We are pleased to have our local knife carver, Ron Post, present as well.  Several groups will be highlighted, such as: The Happy Gang displaying their beautiful hand made quilt; The Mothers of the Soldiers, The Almaguin Parry Sound Wild Turkey Group, along with the Almaguin Highlands Quilting Guild offering a silent auction.  Visit the Horticultural booth and see who will win the largest Sunflower growing contest.  Some of our local stores who are not located on Main Street, will also showcase their products giving you a good idea of what our local merchants have to offer.  For vendor information, please call Betty Barnes at 384-1352 or Jean Minor at 384-7095. |
